To start off, ideally you aren’t just reaching for likes on your page, but reach. While likes can absolutely factor into the success a page sees, reach has become a far more important way to measure the success of your page. As you increase reach, you can turn those numbers into a like acquisition campaign. But starting out, there are a few key ways you can really make your page work to your advantage.
- Get close to dark posts
Facebook dark posts are the number one tool you have at your disposal right now: use them. Essentially they allow you to post to your page without it showing in the general feed, thus allowing you to target new communities and people who haven’t even liked your page yet. You can read a bunch of articles on them, but in the end, just get on Facebook and play around with them, use them, check them out. There is no substitute for just getting in there and figuring it out for yourself.
- Use Facebook ads as much as you can
Do not miss out on Facebook ads. A lot of people ask me if Facebook is worth it any more since it’s now become more of a pay to play game. My response is always 100% yes. They will teach you so much about who you are reaching and who is your customer. From there you can evaluate if the content you are putting out is resonating with the right people.
